Eco-Internships Climate Impact Report

Check out Eco-Internships’ first Climate Impact Report! Eco-Internships supports grassroots environmental organizations across Canada by connecting non-profits to funding opportunities to hire youth interns through wage subsidy grants and other funding. Hiring youth for these organizations has provided them with valuable work experience and professional development opportunities. Additionally, these internships have strengthened internal capacity, executed new projects, and fostered new partnerships within the local non-profit sector.

In 2023, Kaysha Reeder completed an internal impact analysis to assess our Intern Support Program’s overall climate impact within the communities served by the participating organizations. The report highlights how each organization aligns with the 17 Sustainable Development Goals, the amazing work accomplished and how it has impacted the local communities. The Climate Impact Report will promote transparency of the efforts taken by various ENPOs within the sector, and enable other organizations to learn, and collaborate with each other to have a greater impact, increasing our collective climate initiatives.
